Y5 Science - Reversible Changes with Chocolate
This afternoon in science, Year 5 had quite the tasty experiment whilst looking at the difference in physical qualities of chocolate before and after having heat applied. We heated the chocolate up in our mouths and hands.
We also compared room temperature chocolate to frozen chocolate.

This morning in literacy, we were looking at various words that could describe Annie Edson-Taylor the main character, from our class book this half term, Queen of the Falls.
If we were unsure on a word, we used a dictionary to find its definition.

Today in Year 5's computing session, we explored the use of Boolean Operators when using search engines, such as Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Year 5 - The Blues
In this afternoon's music lesson, Year 5 delved into the Blues genre of music. We learnt where it originated from and talked about the genre's themes.
We then listened to Moanin' Lisa Blues - YouTube and discussed what was being sang by Lisa Simpson.

Y5 - Fire Needs Oxygen
This afternoon Year 5 learnt the ingredients needed for a fire and then explored how the volume of a glass determines the length of time the flame will burn for when in a closed space.

In science, Year 5 had the chance to test their eye sight.
Children tested their vision at a 1 meter distance and 3 meter.
