Nursery Anti-Bullying Week Activity
Last week was Anti-Bullying Week and the theme was 'Choose Respect'
The Nursery children talked about respecting each other, staff, possessions, and themselves.
They created a class collage using different skin tone colours, which we have displayed in our classroom.
Year 5 History - Organising Tudor Monarchs
This afternoon, Year 5 explored the monarchs of the Tudor period in greater depth. We organised the monarchs in the order of their reigns and then researched their birth and death dates, as well as the years they held the throne as King or Queen.

Year 3 have been exploring the three classifications of rocks
sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous in science to coincide
with our theme of The stone Age.
Geography field trip
Last term we visited the brook of Brookside!
The brook has been here since before the oldest Ordnance survey maps existed.
It is now partially covered by housing estates as it flows to the Mersey.

Odd Sock Day 2024
Children in Year 4 are rocking their odd socks today. Odd Sock Day is the start of Anti-Bullying Week.
It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!

Y6 Music
Today - Y6 got into 'composing crews' to perform some percussion rhythms.
We developed an understanding of the Kodaly music method.
Year 5 Urenco Workshop
This morning, Year 5 had Sarah from URENCO visit us. Sarah gave the class a separating materials workshop.
Pupils took part in various activities. Pupils were comparing different substances and seeing how they themselves could separate materials using centrifugal force.

Building circuits with Y6!
The Year 6 children were challenged to build 'complete circuits' to light up bulbs and to sound buzzers when we turned the switch on.
We then considered how the brightness of the bulb would be effected by making different changes to the circuit.
