Year 5 - The Blues

In this afternoon's music lesson, Year 5 delved into the Blues genre of music. We learnt where it originated from and talked about the genre's themes.

We then listened to Moanin' Lisa Blues - YouTube and discussed what was being sang by Lisa Simpson.

Y5 - Fire Needs Oxygen

This afternoon Year 5 learnt the ingredients needed for a fire and then explored how the volume of a glass determines the length of time the flame will burn for when in a closed space.

Y2 - Science

Year 2 had a wet but very interesting day visiting Bickley Farm.  We went pond dipping and used nets to catch some water boatmen and dragonfly nymphs.  We also looked at different habits and found some owl nesting sites.
