In this afternoon's music lesson, Year 5 delved into the Blues genre of music. We learnt where it originated from and talked about the genre's themes.

We then listened to Moanin' Lisa Blues - YouTube and discussed what was being sang by Lisa Simpson.

Children in Year 4 have been using place value counters to explore flexible partitioning of numbers to 10,000.  

We have been looking at birds eye view maps. We created maps of our classroom. 

This afternoon, Year 5 used atlases to locate the 8 countries, the mountain range, the Alps are spread across. Great work Year 5!

This morning, we've been working hard on expanded number forms. Well done Year 5!

Year 2 had a wet but very interesting day visiting Bickley Farm.  We went pond dipping and used nets to catch some water boatmen and dragonfly nymphs.  We also looked at different habits and found some owl nesting sites.
