Y2 - Science

Year 2 have been investigating how germs spread through skin contact.

 

Knowledge:  I know that when we come into contact with other people, we can pass germs on.

Skills: I can say why it's important to be hygienic.

Year 5 Visit to River Park

As part of our topic for this term, 'The World Is Our Oyster', we visited River Park in Bromborough.

Whilst there, we used Ordnance Survey maps to help us locate our postition in an outdoor setting. We also used the maps to help spot landmarks from the surrounding area

Mathematics in Ancient Greece

Children in Year 4 have been exploring the work of the Ancient Greek mathematician, Euler.

Euler helped discover the 5 Platonic shapes.  The children worked in groups to test his formula of Number of Faces + Number of Vertices - Number of Edges = 2.

The Year 6 class had a great time discovering all about how the Battle of Atlantic was co-ordinated at Derby House during World War 2.

This morning in Year 5, we learnt how to create blog posts.

We created a blog post about the Grampian Mountains located in Scotland.

On Tuesday, Year 5 had a discussion around staying safe online.

We looked at how we can deal with cyber bullying and what we should do if we see it happening.

Year 3 have been learning about high and low pitch sounds
