Nursery - World Book Day
In Nursery we love to read!
On World Book Day we shared our bedtime stories, getting cosy in our pyjamas. Year 5 children also came and read our books with us.
We even had a special treat of hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Fair trade
Today reception discussed where food comes from, specifically chocolate (our favourite). We talked about how hard the farmers work to harvest the coco beans to send to the factories to make our delicious chocolate. We then found out that some farmers don't get paid nearly enough for all their hard…
Nursery Police Visit
The Nursery class had a visit from the police. They dressed up as mini police, took their fingerprints, and explored the police car. We talked about how the police can help us and other people to stay safe, and what number we phone in an emergency.
Nursery Numicon
The Nursery children were exploring Numicon, and counting the holes and making number towers using the coloured pieces.
mental health spa day
Reception class have loved their spa day today. We learnt the art of relaxing and helping our mind feel happy and calm.
Comparing weight
This week we have been learning about heavy and light. Today we investigated which numicon pieces were heavier or lighter than 5.
Painting to Music
Reception listened to different pieces of music and used paint to record their emotional responses, creating exciting and expressive paintings.
