This morning, Year 5 and 6 had an exciting and inspiring session all about hydrogen power! We kicked off the day by learning how hydrogen can be used as a clean, green energy source, helping to reduce pollution and support a more sustainable world.

The highlight of the morning was a hands-on task: planning a hydrogen network stretching across the Northwest, from Wrexham to Manchester. Working in teams, the children tackled real-world challenges — mapping out pipeline routes, identifying key cities and transport hubs, and thinking about where hydrogen refuelling stations might be needed.

It was fantastic to see the creativity, teamwork, and big ideas coming from everyone. Who knows? We might just have some future energy engineers in our midst!
