A great visit to the historic Birkenhead Park - established in 1847.

In science we have been learning about forces. This week we learned how friction helps us slow down!

We have been learning all about abstract art. We have focused on the artist Anthony Caro. We have been creating our abstract art based on similar ideas. 

We have been reading the book Big Blue Whale in literacy. The children have been researching facts about whales and creating pamphlets. They look rather splendid!

This afternoon, Year 5 explored the world of ancient Greek civilisation. Year 5 researched Greek gods and goddesses, researching their families, powers and more!

This afternoon, Year 5 celebrated Book Character Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters. The classroom was filled with creativity, from Ask from Pokemon to Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games.
