Y4 DT - Inclined Car

This week, in Design Technology, children have followed instructions to create a simple car chassis.  They use measuring tapes to measure how far their car travelled down an inclined plane.

Fun with Words in Year 4!

Today, Year 4 had a brilliant time learning new vocabulary from Ariki and the Island of Wonders through games of Charades and Pictionary. The children acted out and drew words like 'constellations'. 'cove' and 'guardian' helping each other guess their meanings.

Year 2 - Science (Plants)

Year 2 are exploring the best conditions for plants to grow.  They have set up an experiment to test for this using cress seeds.

Knowledge: to investigate what a plant needs to grow,

Skills: to predict what conditions are best for growth.

Vocab: growth, conditions, sunlight, energy

Perimeter Detectives

The children have been hunting for rectangles in the shapes in the school garden.  The children then had to measure the length and width to calculate the perimeter.

Year 5's Jack and Jill Pop Up Book
