Y4 Burglar Alarms
Year 4 have used all their new knowledge of complete and incomplete circuits as well as conductors and insulators to create a burglar alarm.
Great Science and great problem solving!

Batteries Included!
In Computing, children in Year 4 have been building on their Scratch Programming knowledge to create an electrical circuit game. The children have been learning about different variables as well as broadcast commands.

Y6 Science Week - Microorganisms and Classification
Well done Y6 - a fabulous science week full of discovery and wonder.
1) Microorganisms - we discussed how microbes are passed on between us and actions we can take to minimise the spread.
2) Biscuit bacteria - we had fun making our own bacteria out of sweets and biscuits - we then…
Year 5 - Worm Charmers
As part of our science topic this half term, 'Animal Life Cycles and Reproduction', Year 5 were tasked with charming worms to allow them to study their growth.
Year 5 had to get the worms to the surface to allow them to collect them carefully. They did this by placing a large stick in the soil…

Exploring Circuits
Children in Year 4 have been exploring electrical circuits. All the children were given different components (wires, cells, bulbs and buzzers) and were asked to create as many different working circuits as possible.
Year 3 science
Year 3 have been learning all about forces, magnetism and friction.
Here we are undertaking an experiment to find out which surface has the least friction.
Y5 - URENCO Workshop - Seperating Materials
This morning, Year 5 had Martin from URENCO visit us. Martin gave the class a separating materials workshop.
Pupils took part in various activities. Pupils were comparing different substances and seeing how they themselves could separate materials using centrifugal force.
The class…
Here we are- Oliver Jeffers
After reading Oliver Jeffers, 'Here we are', Reception class decided to explore their local environment when they noticed a lot of rubbish! We had a discussion about what we could do about it and they were quick to suggest we should pick up the litter to protect and look after our local wildlife…
Y2 - Exploring Material Strength
Year 2 are investigating how strong eggshells are by testing the amount of weight they can carry.
Knowledge: Identify and compare the suitability of a variety of everyday materials, including wood, metal, plastic, glass, brick, rock, paper and cardboard for particular uses.
Skills: I can…

Y6 Class Assembly
Well done Y6 - we enjoyed welcoming our parents to a fabulous class assembly sharing learning from our World War 2 topic.
